New Moon In Taurus | Craving Something New? A Steady & Nurturing Environment Comes
☉☽ ♉️ Earlier this morning, the birth of a brand new lunar cycle came to life at 6° Taurus. New moons are always the right time for tackling new endeavors and for intention setting. It is the new seed being planted in the deep dark heart of the earth - and given the right amount of positive reinforcement, we can expect this seed to ultimately flourish. Taurus is an earth sign and fixed in it’s nature - which means it’s less interested in fresh starts and finishing touches, but invested in steady maintenance. This is where Taurus gets its reputation for often being a stabilizing and practical influence.
♈️ -> ♉️ Aries represents the very beginning of Spring - where the weather is tumultuous, hot one day and wet and cold the next. We crave something new for ourselves and we launch out, perhaps not all that prepared to go get it. Thus, when Taurus season arrives, we require the fixed and focused energy that the sign brings in order to harness the exciting initiative that was sparked by Aries. Taurus rules over the part of Spring that is “fixed”. It works slowly but effectively to steady the environment, nurturing the soil of the earth with rain to call forth the flowers. April (aries) showers bring May (taurus) flowers.
♀ Most of us were really feeling those April showers, perhaps almost as if at any moment we may slip and drift even further downstream in them. Venus, the relationship planet, had dipped back into oceanic Pisces for most of the month, drenching us in emotion and we finally get to crawl back out onto shore as of Friday the 28th, when she re-enters Aries for yet another go. Lest ye forget, Venus in Aries is one pissed off scored wielding warrior goddess. Aries is the sign of Venus’ detriment because she becomes too self focused, thus confusing the true nature of Venus which is to harmonize and integrate everyone’s needs. It’s likely that we’ll be hearing more about women once again retaliating against the patriarchy in the news, or on a more personal level we will be asking ourselves “are MY needs getting met in my relationship?"
