The End of Scorpio Season

☉☽  The night sky has grown increasingly darker as our moon traveled through her balsamic phase over the last weeks. When the moon moves through her balsamic phase, the last 28 day lunar cycle is coming to a close. Whatever occurred in this last cycle has already reached its peak culmination and now seeks a firm conclusion. This “death of the moon” so to speak is a crucial phase each month, so that she can be reborn again anew. New moons inherently possess new opportunities and inclinations for the month that lies ahead. The new moon arrived at 26° Scorpio on November 18th.

Mack & the Zodiac for Oui We

🍁✨ Let’s consider how Scorpio season came on the heels of Libra, where fall blossoms into a beautiful vista - painting the trees red and gold, cozying people up to partnerships and romantic autumnal escapades. Libra is a sign specifically related to art, beauty, and relationship so you can see how this all ties in. Then along comes Scorpio season. The beautiful leaves drop and disappear while the darkness and cold set in. We lose an hour of daylight and are left to steep in contemplative darkness. Fear and depression can all start to sneak in, as Scorpio itself strongly asks us to examine our shadow side and go down to the very bottom of it all.

❤️♏️🌀 Scorpio season summons us inward and downward. An old part of our lives is dying now. We can’t take everything with us as we move forward on our journey through life. Certain habits, relationships, situations etc. have to die so we can make room for the new things to grow. The pain of this process is no easy feat, but one that will leave us eventually renewed and with a better understanding of our innermost motivations.

🔮💀 Scorpio summons the intensity of our feelings. Our emotions can feel overwhelming at this time as we sift through the deepest parts of ourselves and things bubble up to the surface from our subconscious. We can be faced with our own personal blend of paranoia, obsessiveness, depression, and even relationship jealousy at this time - as we currently have 4 planets in Scorpio. Even though it may already seem like you’re being pushed to the absolute limit of what you can stand - continue to look at your shadow side and ease yourself into this period of letting go, so that when the time is right, a new situation can comfortably enter into your life. If you can’t let go of this part of you that is dying, when that situation comes along you’ll be forced to make even more major adjustments. Work on what you can let go of now. It doesn’t need to be drastic, minor adjustments will be everything we can handle right now.

On Monday, November 21, 2017, the Sun traveled into the worldly adventurer of the zodiac: Sagittarius. More to come on Sagittarius season soon.
